Sarcoma is a cancer (video<\/a>) form and therefore has to be treated aggressively. Depending on the sarcoma type, treatment can encompass one or more possibilities: chemotherapy <\/strong><\/a>, radiotherapy <\/strong><\/a> <\/a>en\/of surgery <\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Systemic therapy is a treatment working throughout the whole <\/strong> body, and is usually called chemotherapy. The goal of systemic therapy is trying to kill (part of) the sarcoma or let it shrink, as well as treating visible and invisible distant metastases of the sarcoma. \nSystemic therapy may be necessary before and\/or after surgery.
